Welcome to 1 AM Media, a newsletter that explores the intricacies of media and culture. I have been sitting a cycle of anti-productivity. I only have one year of college left, and it sure seems like it’s time to have something to show for myself. As someone who loves to write, I feel this newsletter will serve as an outlet for me to write about things I care about, and give me an incentive to write for fun. I plan to write about movies, television, music, and popular culture. I would also like to try some fun things that I have seen here on Substack like playlist curation, reviews and interviews.

I am not qualified to write professionally about media and pop culture but I hope to obtain experience and use this platform to practice my writing. This platform can hopefully serve as a portfolio piece for me.
